"In einer kollaborativen Initiative zwischen zwei Kemptener (Deutschland) Tänzerinnen und drei Tänzer:innen aus Lagos (Nigeria) entsteht ein faszinierender Tanz, der nicht nur künstlerische Grenzen überwindet, sondern auch eine Brücke zwischen zwei kulturellen Welten schafft. Hier treffen europäischer zeitgenössischer Tanz und afrikanischer Volkstanz aufeinander, und durch intensiven Austausch entfaltet sich eine einzigartige Tanzsprache. Dieser kreative Prozess erlaubt nicht nur die Ergründung gemeinsamer Tanzformen, sondern fördert auch ein tiefes Verständnis für die kulturellen Hintergründe und Ausdrucksweisen.
Die entstehende Choreografie wird somit zu einem Spiegelbild der kulturellen Vielfalt und zur Manifestation eines gemeinsamen künstlerischen Dialogs. Durch die Verschmelzung verschiedener Tanztraditionen wird nicht nur eine ästhetische Synthese erreicht, sondern auch ein tieferer Austausch von Ideen, Emotionen und Geschichten ermöglicht. Dieser Tanz wird zu einem Ausdruck der Sehnsucht nach Frieden und Verbindung, und betont die transformative Kraft der Kunst als Mittel zur Schaffung eines gemeinsamen kreativen Dialogs über alle Grenzen hinweg."
Tänzer*innen
LADINA TAUDIEN ist eine 22-jährige Bühnentänzerin und Tanzpädagogin in Ausbildung. Sie ist in der Schweiz geboren und ist im Alter von vier Jahren erstmalig im Ballett- und Tanzstudio Linder mit dem Tanzen in Verbindung gekommen. Im gleichen Studio hat sie bis zum Alter von 21 Jahren mehrmals wöchentlich den Tanzunterricht besucht. Dort hat sie sich mit diversen urbanen und zeitgenössischen Tanzstilen auseinandergesetzt. Als Mitglied einer Hip-Hop Crew und einer Jazz Dance Crew hatte sie mehrmals die Möglichkeit, an schweizweiten Wettkämpfen und Competitions teilzunehmen. Im Jahre 2017 durfte sie ebenfalls an einem globalen Wettbewerb, dem Dance World Cup in Offenburg, in drei Disziplinen teilnehmen. Im Jahre 2022 hat sie zusammen mit ihrem Tanzpartner in der Disziplin «Duo Adults» die Schweizer Meisterschaft gewonnen. Abgesehen von den Wettkämpfen durfte sie immer wieder bei verschiedenen Tanzaufführungen- und Produktionen auf Amateuren Niveau Bühnenerfahrung sammeln. Neben dem Tanzunterricht im Ballett- und Tanzstudio Linder hat sie an schweizweiten facettenreichen Workshops teilgenommen und sich fortlaufend weitergebildet. Im September 2023 hat sie ihre zweijährige Ausbildung zur professionellen Bühnentänzerin und Tanzpädagogin im KARI.TANZHAUS in Kempten/Deutschland gestartet. Im Frühling 2024 wurde sie erstmalig zu einem internationalen Tanzprojekt auf professionellem Niveau eingeladen und durfte in Zusammenarbeit mit 5 Tänzern und Choreografen zwei Wochen in Nigeria ein Stück namens «OFUOBI» kreieren. Zusätzlich hat Ladina eine 200h Hatha Yoga Ausbildung absolviert,, unterrichtet seither Yoga in verschiedenen Formen und ist zudem gelernte Krankenschwester.
AGOCHA DAVIES is a seasoned dancer, instructor, and choreographer with over 19 years of experience in the field of dance. Throughout his career, he has acquired extensive expertise in the creation of music and dance compositions. Having trained under renowned dance artists and professors both domestically and internationally, including Isabelle Schad, Christopher Huggins, Jodie Sperling, Pierre Dipp, Anne Marie Poras, and Germaine Ackogny, Agocha is a certified ballet, jazz, contemporary, Latin, and ballroom dancer and instructor. He has showcased his talent and creativity in various platforms, including theater productions, stage performances, and media projects, such as Vogue magazine Italia, 080naija dance ad for Etisalat, The SERAS awards, Miss Universe Nigeria, and Mama Mia the musical. Currently, Agocha serves as the ballet and jazz dance instructor at the Society Of The Performing Arts In Nigeria and as a musical theater teacher at Louise Marie Stage School. Agocha Davies is committed to delivering value by continuously adapting to changes in the industry and striving to meet the unique needs of his audience and students.
WISDOM EMEKA OJIJE A.k.a Sir Wizzy, a bundle of talent, is a Nigeria based Contemporary Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer, Stage Graphics and Set Designer, Project and Stage Manager, a Theatre Director and Technical Director. He is a co founder and the Creative Director of Apex Dance Company, co founder and Artistic Director of Hidden Language Productions, and Modern dance Instructor educator at Society for The Perform ing Art Nigeria (SPAN) and Dance Deal Training Foundation. For over a decade, Wisdom Emeka Ojije has quite build an impressive body of work in the performing industry both within and outs ide the shores of Nigeria. He has become a recognized name and face in the Arts and is often sought for his brilliance in many areas of specialization. Amongst his many achievements, one can find that he has led and collaborated in producing LEGACY STATGE PLAY, Blackout Dance Production, 35 th Dance Production, Reflection Dance Production and Wonders State Play just to mention a few Commanding a Veritable army of musical geniuses, Dancers, actors and experienced production crew teams, every production leaves an after taste that lingers long after the link to the ticket has faded... Wisdom Emeka Ojije is a graduate of Society for The Performing Art Nigeria (SPAN) a Diploma in performing Art. Trained at the International Festival ‘DARC’(FRANCE), Summer Intensive with Al Sarab Alternative Dance School (Lebanon), Battery Dance Company (USA) with his dynamic skills and consistent commitment to training, Wisdom has shown that it takes a lot of guts , courage, dedication, commitment, resilience, patience, skill and talent to be one of the best. He is one of Nigeria’s finest indeed. He has inspired many youths, with his outstanding workshops at SPANFEST, AFRIGANZA, WAACKIT NAIJA, CIRCUS & UNIFIED DANCE WORKSHOPS and the most current one, an award winning workshop NEXT D TOUR organized by him and some colleagues I’m excited to announce that I would be teaching contemporary dance with Africa fusion. T his style is engaging and it promises to be thrilling and mind blowing, I cannot wait to share my knowledge, background, experiences and culture with you all and I also hope to learn from you all when I'm around.
ANNA CHIARA GOERIG ist eine vielseitige Tänzerin, Tanzpädagogin und Choreografin, die sowohl in der nationalen als auch internationalen Tanzszene aktiv ist. Sie begann ihre Tanzkarriere an der Dancing Times - Dance & Fitness Academy in Italien und schloss 2022 ihre Ausbildung in zeitgenössischem Tanz am KARI.TANZHAUS in Kempten ab. Ihr Engagement für den Tanz führte sie zu einer Zusatzausbildung in Moderner Kreativer Tanzpädagogik am Freien Musikzentrum in München und zur Teilnahme am Contemporary Advanced Training Programme EDA ACT in Florenz, Italien. Als Austauschstudentin an renommierten Institutionen wie der ARTCAD in Frankreich und der Escuela de Danza UNA Universidad Nacional in Costa Rica konnte sie ihre Tanzausbildung weiter vertiefen. Im Laufe ihrer Karriere hat Chiara mit namhaften internationalen Künstlern wie Ralf Jaroschinski und Ruth Golic zusammengearbeitet. Austauschstipendien mit der Compañía de Cámara Danza UNA (CCDUNA) und der Compañía Nacional de Danza Costa Rica (CND) ermöglichten es ihr, ihr künstlerisches Spektrum zu erweitern. Im Oktober 2023 präsentierte Chiara ihr choreografisches Talent mit ihrer ersten Produktion "Troy" am Stadttheater Kempten. Neben ihrer Arbeit als Tänzerin und Choreografin ist Chiara auch in der Tanzpädagogik tätig. Sie ist spezialisiert auf das Unterrichten von Improvisation, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz und Kinderkursen. Neben dem Tanz hat Chiara einen Abschluss in Biologie und bildet sich in den Bereichen Ernährung und Yoga weiter. Ihr interdisziplinärer Ansatz spiegelt ihren Glauben an die Integration verschiedener Disziplinen wider, um ein ganzheitliches Verständnis der Welt zu erlangen und ihren künstlerischen Ausdruck zu bereichern.
BAKARE RUKAYAT GRACE, known affectionately as DRACEY in the dance world, is a woman of many talents and passions born and grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. Growing up in a bustling city in Nigeria, Bakare was drawn to the rhythm and movement that surrounded her. From a young age, she found solace and joy in dancing, losing herself in the music and letting her body express what words could not. It was a passion that would stay with her throughout her life. Despite her love for dance, Bakare also had a keen intellect and a drive to excel academically. Pursuing her interest in business, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, laying a solid foundation for her future endeavors. But even as she delved into the world of business, dance remained a constant presence in her life, a source of inspiration and fulfillment. After completing her degree, Bakare made the decision to pursue her other passion more seriously. She enrolled in the Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN), where she earned a diploma in dance, honing her skills and expanding her artistic horizons. It was during this time that she adopted the moniker "Dracey," a nod to her dual identity as a dancer and a businesswoman. Armed with her education and her newfound expertise in dance, Dracey set out to make her mark on the world. She juggled her career in business with her passion for dance, finding harmony between the two seemingly disparate worlds. Whether she was crunching numbers in the boardroom or choreographing routines in the studio and attending workshops and trainings, Dracey approached each task with the same level of dedication and enthusiasm. But dance was more than just a hobby for Dracey; it was a lifeline, a form of self-expression that allowed her to connect with others on a deeper level. In addition to dancing, she also found joy in fashion,singing,teaching and problem-solving, using her creativity and resourcefulness to overcome any obstacle that stood in her way. Today, Dracey continues to pursue her passions with unwavering determination, inspiring others with her talent, her intellect, and her boundless energy. Whether she's dazzling audiences on stage or strategizing in the boardroom, she embodies the spirit of a true Renaissance woman, finding beauty and meaning in every aspect of her life. As she looks to the future, Dracey remains committed to her journey of self-discovery and personal growth, embracing each new challenge with open arms and an indomitable spirit. For her, life is a dance, and she intends to make every step count.
